What is Edgbaston Park Hotel doing to support key workers?

As you may know, we’re located very close to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Happily, we’ve been able to accommodate key NHS staff and contractors at the hotel during this crisis, to support their vital work and provide a safe, convenient place for them to stay.

As other key workers return to work, we’re also supporting individuals from a wide range of other services: health and social care; education and childcare; key public services; local and national government; food and other necessary goods; public safety and national security; transport; and utilities, communication and financial services.

Are you a key worker, looking for accommodation during this difficult time?

Please get in touch with the team today at reservations@edgbastonparkhotel.com.

Please note that valid ID and written proof that you are a key worker from your employer will be required upon check in in order for the reservation to be valid.

What measures is the hotel undertaking to protect staff and those in residence?

At Edgbaston Park Hotel, the safety of our guests and our team is a priority.  We always take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Under the current circumstances, and given that we are hosting key workers, we have taken additional measures to make our cleaning and hygiene protocols even more rigorous:

  • Regular staff briefings and enhanced operating procedures for cleaning high-risk areas
  • Increased cleaning frequency for public areas (including reception, elevators, door handles and public bathrooms)
  • Food and beverage service adjusted in accordance with current food safety recommendations
  • Increased number of hand sanitisers throughout the hotel
