As most of the UK shivers in this festive weather, the Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre team are hard at work. Thanks to the efforts of the University of Birmingham’s Estates team, paths are clear, and work carries on as usual.

The chimneys at Hornton Grange may not be puffing out smoke from a lovely wood fire today, but they do look pretty capped with snow.
To the left of the original red-brick building of 1928 you can see the progress of the new extension: a cleverly-designed additional function room that will sit sympathetically in the old garden, extending the conference facilities for larger groups, whilst also offering a beautiful wedding venue.
The perfect view for a winter wedding, perhaps?
