F&B Supervisor +

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week (any 5 days in 7, including evening and weekend working on a rota basis)

Hourly rate: £12.94 per hour

We have a great opportunity for an experienced F&B Supervisor, or someone looking to take the next step in their hospitality career, to support our Hotel’s F&B operation and supervise F&B team members, ensuring that the highest standards of guest service are upheld.

Your duties will include:

  • Supervising and co-ordinating across our F&B operation, in our restaurant, bars and conference and banqueting facilities, ensuring that the high standards expected by guests and the Hotel are upheld.
  • Organising, briefing and preparing the team prior to shift.
  • Greeting and serving our guests in a prompt, professional and friendly manner.
  • Having expert knowledge of our food and drinks menus and Hotel facilities.
  • Training, coaching and motivating the team to follow the Hotel’s high service standards, promoting communication between all teams to ensure an excellent guest experience.
  • Assisting the F&B management team with upselling initiatives, thinking of new and creative ideas to motivate the team to sell in a discreet and professional manner.
  • Handling minor queries or complaints in a professional, timely and courteous manner, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Assisting in keeping operating costs to a minimum by efficient and responsible use of resources.
  • Supporting F&B management with any needs as required and assisting with achieving financial targets.

You should have strong food and beverage service experience, ideally at supervisory level, although we will consider applicants who can demonstrate their ability and drive to move to the next level in their hospitality careers. You should also have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and engage effectively at all levels, be able to work on your own initiative, stay calm under pressure and have the ability and willingness to put the guest at the heart of everything you do.

Housekeeping Assistant +

Contract:

  • 12-25 hours per week on a permanent contract, includes weekend working on a rota basis

We are looking for motivated Housekeeping Assistants to join our successful and professional housekeeping team. You will be responsible for providing a high standard of cleanliness and service within the Hotel bedrooms, adhering to set timeframes and to the required quality and standard.

Your duties will include:

  • Servicing daily allocated bedrooms and other tasks required by the housekeeping senior team.
  • Providing a high level of cleanliness in back of house and public areas as necessary, adhering to the specified standards at all times.
  • Assist with cleaning and laundering all relevant areas, including blinds, curtains, bed covers, carpets and furniture etc.
  • Keeping all corridors tidy and without obstruction during servicing times.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues following the correct process, on a day-to-day basis.
  • Keeping the stock rooms tidy and reporting any stock shortages.

As a Housekeeping Assistant you must be able to undertake a wide range of high-quality cleaning, demonstrating high standards and attention to detail and have a genuine desire to put the guest at the heart of everything you do. You will ideally have previous housekeeping experience within a busy hotel.

Assistant Maintenance Manager +

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week, including weekend working on a rota basis

Salary: £30,000 per annum

As Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will be tasked with providing a high standard of preventative and reactive maintenance within all areas of the Hotel and Conference Centre, always adhering to the specified operational standards. You will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Maintenance Assistant and Maintenance Engineer.

Your main activities will include:

  • Providing a high standard of maintenance within all areas of the Hotel and Conference Centre, always adhering to the specified operational standards.
  • Carrying out daily audit checks on all arrival bedrooms, conference rooms and public areas as per set standard.
  • Liaising with the Housekeeping and Reception teams regarding any issues or problems arising. Resolving any immediate issues.
  • Carrying out weekly preventative checks on all waters supplies in accordance with Health and Safety requirements.
  • Adhering to, and leading, on health and safety checks within the maintenance remit.
  • Liaising with contractors and suppliers, ensuring RAMS are in place for the former.
  • Ensuring the maintenance IT systems (internal and external) are kept up to date.
  • Day to day supervision, coaching and development of the Maintenance Assistant and Maintenance Engineer.

You should have significant professional experience of undertaking general maintenance duties, ideally within a public-facing environment, in a wide range of maintenance activities including basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical works, significant experience of managing on-site contractors, extensive working knowledge and work of health and safety, RAMS and risk assessments, experience of supervising or managing a team of staff and excellent interpersonal and IT skills.

Night Porter +

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week (10 hours x 4 days), including weekend working on a rota basis

Hourly rate of pay: £12.69

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Night Porter to join our Nights Team to help deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Duties of this role include:

  • Providing a high standard of service at Reception and throughout the Hotel during the night.
  • Taking over responsibility for Reception from the evening receptionist and handing back to the morning receptionist.
  • Utilising the Hotel’s IT systems for checking guests in and out, updating accounts with any additional charges, producing reports etc.
  • Dealing positively, promptly and professionally with guest queries and feedback.
  • Operating the switchboards and taking accurate telephone messages for guests and staff and arranging any early morning calls on the system.
  • Completing the night audit and any financial procedures during the shift.
  • Assisting with F&B duties, including the cleaning and setting up of conference rooms ready for the next day and service of the night menu.
  • Ensuring the welfare and safety of all guests staying at the Hotel whilst on shift.

You should have a background in hotels, conferences or a multi-site catering environment and previous night reception experience, ideally within the hospitality sector. What is key is your genuine enthusiasm and ability to provide exemplary customer service and to support the smooth running of the Reception and Hotel during your shift.
