Edgbaston Park hotel awarded ECOsmart Platinum Award
We’re thrilled to share that we’ve been awarded the ECOsmart Platinum Award – the highest level of accreditation from sustainability experts Greengage.
This recognition is a huge win for us and marks another exciting milestone in 2025, following our achievement of B Corp certification earlier this summer. It shows that our commitment to sustainability goes beyond words: it’s built into everything we do.

Julie Crump, Director of Operations, summed it up perfectly:
‘Achieving ECOsmart Platinum is a proud moment and a testament to our team’s unwavering commitment to sustainability. We believe great hospitality should go hand-in-hand with environmental responsibility. From sourcing locally and ethically to reducing our carbon footprint, we’re creating experiences that are not only exceptional for our guests but better for the planet too.’
What is ECOsmart?
The ECOsmart award is recognised globally and is given to businesses that go above and beyond in reducing their environmental impact. The assessment covers six key areas, including energy and water conservation, food and beverage sustainability, waste management, responsible sourcing, and social responsibility.
Our Platinum status came after submitting a detailed portfolio of evidence through the ECOsmart portal, which was carefully reviewed by Greengage’s expert panel.
