Sustainability
Our pledge
At Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre, we’re passionate about championing sustainable practices that support Our People, Planet and Community sustainability pillars. Our ambition is to be net zero carbon by 2035, aligning with the University of Birmingham’s commitment to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2045.
We take our responsibility to adopting eco-friendly practices seriously, evolving our day-to-day strategies and decisions, and taking it upon ourselves as individuals to promote a green consciousness, bringing sustainability to the forefront of Edgbaston Park Hotel.
Towards a sustainable future
We’re one step ahead!
In January 2023, we achieved the gold standard award for Green Meetings, from Green Tourism. Over 12 months, we worked conscientiously to implement new sustainable initiatives across our operations, from meetings and conferences, hotel guest experience, and staff wellbeing. The accreditation means that the hotel is now one of only 17 conference venues in the UK demonstrating the highest sustainability standards within the industry.
You can learn more about what we did to achieve this accreditation here.
