At Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre, we’re passionate about championing sustainable practices that support Our People, Planet and Community sustainability pillars. Our ambition is to be net zero carbon by 2035, aligning with the University of Birmingham’s commitment to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2045.
We take our responsibility to adopting eco-friendly practices seriously, evolving our day-to-day strategies and decisions, and taking it upon ourselves as individuals to promote a green consciousness, bringing sustainability to the forefront of Edgbaston Park Hotel.
Towards a sustainable future
We’re one step ahead!
In February 2024, we achieved a gold ECOsmart award for our commitment to the environment. The new ECOsmart award from Greengage is the leading accreditation used by organisations around the globe aiming to protect and save our planet from climate change.
It’s the second successful milestone we’ve reached in our quest to be one of Birmingham’s greenest. In 2023, we were awarded the gold standard award for Green Meetings, from Green Tourism. The accreditation means that the hotel is now one of only 17 conference venues in the UK demonstrating the highest sustainability standards within the industry.
Explore our eco-friendly journey from ditching sauce sachets to implementing seamless waste management. Plus, every bag of Paddy & Scott’s coffee sold provides one meal for a child in coffee growing regions. We’re also proud to contribute to a waste-free world!
