Edgbaston Park Hotel Wins Bronze at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2026

4 June 2026

We are proud to announce that Edgbaston Park Hotel has been awarded Bronze in the Regenerative Tourism category at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2026.

The awards, which have been celebrating the very best of England’s tourism industry for more than 35 years, recognise businesses that demonstrate exceptional quality, innovation, best practice and guest service. This year’s winners were announced on Wednesday 3 June at Aerospace Bristol, with gold, silver and bronze awards presented across 17 categories.

Members of the Edgbaston Park Hotel team attended the awards ceremony and joined the evening’s celebrations, which included dinner served beneath the iconic Concorde aircraft.

The Regenerative Tourism category recognises tourism businesses from across the visitor economy who champion and deliver a regenerative tourism approach, and who can clearly demonstrate how guests are encouraged to behave in a responsible way throughout their visit or stay.

This recognition is a great achievement and reflects Edgbaston Park Hotel’s continued dedication to its people, the planet and the wider community.

Why we won Bronze in the Regenerative Tourism Category:

  • Earned B Corporation certification in 2025, placing the hotel among a select group of UK hospitality businesses meeting rigorous social, ethical, and environmental standards.
  • Partnered with West Midlands Railway (WMR) to offer 20% discounts on rail travel – promoting sustainable travel to the venue.
  • Launching a Green Meetings Package providing delegates with low-carbon menus and responsibly sourced refreshments.
  • Provided 1,324 lunch box meals for children in coffee growing regions through our partnership with Paddy & Scott’s.

Julie Crump, Director of Operations and CSR Lead at Edgbaston Park Hotel, said:

‘We’re thrilled to be recognised at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2026 with a Bronze in the Regenerative Tourism category. This award reflects the dedication of our whole team to embedding sustainability into every aspect of what we do – from how we source our food and manage our energy, to the partnerships we build within our local community. Being shortlisted alongside such exceptional businesses from across England is an honour, and it reinforces our commitment to pushing further. Regenerative tourism isn’t a destination, it’s a direction of travel, and we’re proud to be on that journey.’

The hotel’s ambition to be net zero by 2035, aligned with University of Birmingham’s own commitment to sustainability, reflects its ongoing dedication to the environment, and it is excited to build on this recognition and continue its sustainability journey.
